Baxton Benefit

For those of you who could not attend the Baxton Benefit,
Jamie and Angie have a few pix and much to report.
The auction was a big success and grossed $32,226.00.
The money is going directly towards Larry Baxton's care
and rehabilitation. People from the animation world came
out in big numbers and it was great to see old friends.

Tony Bancroft
(Jamie with on Mulan and
Angie worked with on Stuart Little 2)
Chad Frye from Disney and Tom Sito (Contributor to the book)
were among the hundreds of people who turned
out for the event.

There was even a Black Wing pencil up for auction! :)

The book (signed by over a dozen contributors and
the authors)brought the benefit 100$ ! Not too shabby!

Mike Polvani of 1on1animation.com had his hands full
while his wife Cathlin handled the auction events
with the help of Bill and Sue Kroyer,
Tom and Pat Sito, Gale Musker and others.

One of the most impressive pieces up for auction
was an original storyboard by Milt Kahl.

Andres Deja really wanted it, but James Baxter
was the one to go home with it.

Angie got into a bit of a show down with John Musker over this Red Dress print by Cal Arts animation student Lorelay Bove...But financially, Angie can't compete with the likes of Musker and settled for the Blue Dress print by the same artist, which now resides in her cube at DD.

All in all it was for a great cause and
we wish the best to the Baxtons.
